Non-Profit Website Project: For Himalayan Community

When tasked with designing the website for the Lo Mustang Welfare Trust, my aim was to create a digital space that not only informs but also deeply resonates with the cultural heritage of the Himalayan region. My approach began with crafting a logo that encapsulates the essence of Lo Mustang’s unique cultural identity, using motifs inspired by local art and architecture. The background images were carefully selected to reflect the serene and majestic landscapes of the region, ensuring that every visual element told a part of the story.

The user experience was paramount; thus, I designed the site with intuitive navigation in mind. The menu, particularly the ‘Events’ page, was structured to highlight upcoming activities, allowing visitors to easily find and engage with the events they could participate in or support. Each call-to-action (CTA) button was styled to stand out yet blend with the site’s theme, using colors and fonts that mirrored the traditional aesthetics of the area.

For content management, I implemented a CMS solution that was both user-friendly for the trust’s staff to update content like news, blogs, or event details, and robust enough to handle the site’s needs. This ensured that the website could grow and adapt over time without losing its thematic integrity.

Social media integration was strategically placed for maximum visibility. By linking directly on the landing page, visitors are encouraged to follow the trust’s journey on various platforms, fostering a community around the cause. This not only helps in spreading awareness but also in fundraising efforts, making the website a pivotal tool for the trust’s operations. Through this design, I aimed to provide Lo Mustang Welfare Trust with a digital presence that honors their cultural roots while embracing modern web functionalities.
